Spain, December, 2004
Boats at La Azohia...saw the family taking a long needed break to Spain visiting the area around Murcia. We were fortunate enough to secure a villa at the Camposol Golf Estate just north of Mazarron in the south of Spain that proved to be ideal for the family. The holiday started out on a good note as we booked a Meet-and-Greet service at the airport to park our car, it's amazing how many bags one realises one has when the other half is pregnant and cannot carry heavy items ! The flight with Ryanair was smooth and we arrived at San Javier airport just after6.30pm.The fun started here as we had to pick up our rental car, so, in our best Spanish we went to the counter and embarrassed ourselves finding out their English was better. A complimentary upgrade (and another 3Dusk on the MU6030 minutes trying to get a car seat and fit it) we were on our way - excited at the thought that were now to drive for 1 hour, in the dark, on foreign roads, on the other side of the road with a hungry child to our villa. Well, add a few more minutes on as we took a detour around some farm villages (didn't realise turn right to turn left actually meant that (blush) We arrived at the villa to find the place spotless, the heaters switched on and some essential provisions in the fridge (lifesaver) Bed called very loudly, so we retired for the night to dream of what the next day would bring ...next page
